MTV Games’ ubiquitous Rock Band rhythm music series is on its way to PSP. Rock Band Unplugged will be the name of the rock series. Harmonix and MTV Games publisher intend to use the PSP’s integrated WiFi to access an in-game music download store.

It will contain tracks from Blink-182, The Police, Lit, AFI and Kansas at launch, etc.This game also simply controls with buttons in a manner not unlike Harmonix’s old-school rhythm games Frequency and Amplitude. Like any other rock series, EA will take control over the publishing of Unplugged, but Backbone will handle the development.
