The 40th Day takes place in Shanghai, where Rios and Salem, the established founders of the Transworld Operations private military corporation, are deployed into the field covertly to accomplish a seemingly simple operation with their handler, Alice Murray.

The 40th Day will allow players to customize the face masks with either preset designs or original artwork. These designs can be uploaded to EA’s servers, either for the use of players during online games or potentially for other characters to use. Army of Two: The 40th Day seems to be addressing many of the issues from the previous game. The action sequences for each chapter seem to be much larger and more engrossing, while the weapon system seems to be much deeper than before
