The main objective of the game is to lead the Rookie through the ruins of Mombasa and discover what happened to his missing teammates. After finding a piece of evidence left behind—like a sniper rifle hanging on a lamp post—a flashback is triggered and you will then assume the role of the missing soldier. However, in this game you’re not playing as the Master Chief, but rather a lone UNSC soldier known as the “Rookie” in the city of New Mombasa, Kenya.
